Job Description
Lowes Foods is a well-established grocery retail chain known for its commitment to fresh, high-quality food and exceptional customer service. With a focus on creating a community-centric shopping experience, Lowes Foods combines a passion for food with innovative in-store events and programs that engage and inspire shoppers. The company prides itself on supporting local producers and offering a wide variety of organic and natural foods, making it a preferred destination for customers who value quality and community connection. At Lowes Foods, employees are part of a dynamic team that fosters collaboration, continuous learning, and opportunities for growth within the food retail industry.
The Community Table Coordinator role at Lowes Foods is integral in driving community engagement through a variety of in-store and local events that enhance the shopping experience and promote the brand's commitment to fresh, quality food. This position is primarily responsible for supporting and executing monetized and community-driven events such as birthday parties, pairings, Thirsty Thursday events, and vendor-sponsored samplings. The Coordinator plays a vital role in preparing and managing the Community Table as a central hub for customer interaction and event activities within the store.
Beyond in-store responsibilities, the Community Table Coordinator works closely with the Community Marketing Manager (CMM) to support local social media marketing initiatives, outside selling efforts focused on seasonal goals, and community outreach programs including sponsorship activations. This position also provides support for large catering sales and the Cart 2 Class program, further extending the brand's outreach into the local community. The role requires a balance of creativity, organization, and interpersonal skills to successfully execute multiple events weekly and contribute to the store’s community presence and sales growth.
Ideal candidates will have a passion for food and storytelling, with enthusiasm for sharing culinary tips and tricks. Experience in retail, preferably with the Lowes Foods brand, along with knowledge of store department operations, will be advantageous. The role demands physical stamina with the ability to lift weights up to 25 pounds occasionally and stand for extended periods. Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills are essential to manage multiple tasks efficiently within deadline-driven environments. This position is typically a part-time or full-time role offering competitive compensation aligned with retail industry standards. It provides an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to blend culinary passion with community engagement and event coordination in a retail setting.
