The Community Marketing Agent role at Travel + Leisure Co. is a full-time, customer-facing position within the Community Marketing Program designed to extend brand presence and engagement with local communities. Working primarily in popular local destinations such as malls, theme parks, trade shows, festivals, and conferences, the Community Marketing Agent acts as a vital brand ambassador for Wyndham Destinations, a key part of the Travel + Leisure Co. family. This role involves direct interaction with prospective customers to educate them about the vacation club experience, encourage attendance at award-winning vacation ownership presentations, and help drive customer interest through face-to-face engagement and incentive offerings. The agent plays an important role in creating a welcoming and influential marketing presence that supports the company’s sales goals and enhances brand awareness within target communities.

In this position, the Community Marketing Agent is tasked with greeting guests, presenting detailed vacation ownership information professionally and persuasively, and qualifying potential customers in accordance with company guidelines. The individual is also responsible for coordinating sales-tour reservations and securing initial deposits, ensuring a smooth transition from initial contact to in-depth sales presentations. This role balances active customer engagement (approximately 80% of the time) with participatory training, marketing updates, and internal meetings (20% of the time), all aimed at continuous improvement and professional growth. Importantly, no travel outside of the agent’s home site area is required, allowing for consistency and community familiarity.

Candidates do not need prior sales or marketing experience, though such background is preferred. This role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within team environments. Technical proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, general computer skills, and smart devices is essential to manage daily operations and communications.   • Serve as a positive and professional brand ambassador for Wyndham Destinations
  • Greet, present, and incentivize prospective customers to attend a sales-preview tour
  • Screen and qualify potential customers based on company guidelines

  • Attend all scheduled training sessions and department meetings
  • Keep current on marketing information and materials
  • Set and review performance goals weekly, monthly, and annually
