The role of Affordable Community Manager at Fairfield is a pivotal leadership position that combines operational management, regulatory compliance, and resident engagement to maintain and enhance the quality of multifamily affordable housing communities. This full-time role offers an annual salary range of $77,890 to $81,520 along with a $1,000 sign-on bonus. The Affordable Community Manager will oversee property operations, manage financial performance, and ensure compliance with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) program requirements. Responsibilities include directing a high-performing team, budgeting and cost management, regulatory inspections, and fostering positive relationships with residents and housing authorities. Success in this role requires a customer-focused mindset, strong leadership skills, and expertise in property management regulations and best practices.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of three years property management experience
- minimum of three years LIHTC experience
- valid driver’s license may be required
- experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- prior experience with REAC inspections preferred
- leadership experience preferred
- experience with Yardi or similar software
- strong knowledge of fair housing laws
- ability to interpret regulatory agreements
- track record of maintaining occupancy and net operating income
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- bachelor’s degree preferred
- industry certification preferred
- housing credit certified professional (HCCP) designation preferred
- certified credit compliance professional (C3P) designation preferred
- certified occupancy specialist (COS) or certified professional of occupancy (CPO) designation preferred for HUD properties
- valid driver’s license may be required
- minimum of three years property management experience
- minimum of three years LIHTC experience
- experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- prior experience preparing for REAC inspections for HUD properties preferred
- leadership experience managing staff preferred
- experience with Yardi or related property management accounting software
- experience writing and maintaining budgets
- strong understanding of federal, state, and local fair housing laws
- strong knowledge of IRS 8823 guide and HUD 4350.3 Manual
- ability to read and understand regulatory agreements
- previous success in maintaining occupancy and net operating income in multifamily property management
