Job Description
Freedom Square of Seminole is a distinguished senior living community located in Seminole, Florida, designed to offer an upscale and compassionate living experience for seniors. Nestled on 15 serene acres with two ponds, this community is styled like a quaint town square, featuring paved brick streets and a welcoming gazebo, creating a charming and tranquil environment for its residents. It provides residents with a variety of elegantly appointed residential options and an array of exceptional services and amenities. The community is not only close to scenic Lake Seminole but also just a short drive from the stunning beaches of the Gulf Coast, making it an ideal location for retirees seeking both beauty and comfort in their living space.
As a life care community, Freedom Square of Seminole is committed to supporting its residents through all stages of aging. This commitment is demonstrated through their seamless aging-in-place model, which allows residents to transition effortlessly from independent living to assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing care as their healthcare needs evolve. This holistic approach ensures that residents receive the right level of care at the right time without the stress of relocating to different facilities. The community prides itself on providing a fun workplace culture that includes monthly luncheons and campus-wide events, clean and well-maintained facilities, low acuity patient levels, good staffing ratios, and benefits available for both full-time and part-time staff, including paid time off, paid holidays, career advancement opportunities, paid training, a revised wage and bonus structure, and tuition assistance.
The role of Director of Life Enrichment at Freedom Square of Seminole is a pivotal leadership position responsible for enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of the independent living residents through comprehensive engagement programming. This role involves planning, coordinating, and directing a wide range of activities and programs that cater to the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, physical, and environmental dimensions of wellness. The Director must develop and implement programming that aligns with Life Care Services' Lifestyles and Health Services requirements and support the LCS Cares Program and Hospitality Promises to foster a supportive and caring community environment.
Key responsibilities for the Director include supervising a small Life Enrichment team and volunteers, promoting a holistic approach to wellness encompassing eight dimensions including emotional and physical health, planning engaging special events and educational speakers, delivering training for staff on activity programs, and ensuring active facilitation of company-wide wellness initiatives. This person is also tasked with tracking resident participation, coordinating with health services for care plan updates, participating in resident care plan meetings, and managing departmental budgets and billing. The Director of Life Enrichment ensures a balanced and inclusive program that engages all residents and enhances their overall quality of life.
This position requires an individual with a passion for senior wellness, strong leadership skills, experience working with seniors, especially in memory care, and the ability to build and maintain a vibrant community culture. Freedom Square supports its employees through unique benefits such as DailyPay, allowing access to earned wages on demand, and a work environment that values inclusivity and recognition. The community embraces hospitality standards that prioritize respectful, attentive, and professional interaction with residents, guests, and colleagues. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors within a supportive and dynamic community setting.
