Job Description

The Glen Retirement System is a well-established senior living community renowned for providing exceptional care and a nurturing environment for its residents. Situated in a supportive community setting, The Glen is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors through compassionate services and engaging activities. Known for its commitment to excellence, The Glen offers a dynamic workplace where employees are valued members of a team focused on making a meaningful difference in the lives of its residents. This community-oriented approach sets The Glen apart as an employer of choice within the senior care industry.

The Glen is currently seeking a passionate Community Life Coordinator to join their full-time, non-exempt, benefits-eligible team. This role is vital in creating memorable moments filled with joy, purpose, and connection for the senior residents. The ideal candidate will bring energy, compassion, and creativity, thriving in a high-energy environment while fostering meaningful relationships. The standard work schedule is 40 hours per week, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., although some evenings, weekends, and holidays will be required based on community needs.

As the Community Life Coordinator, you will be responsible for implementing a wide variety of engaging programs and activities that support the social, spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual, and vocational well-being of the residents. This hands-on role requires an enthusiastic professional dedicated to facilitating group activities, supporting events and outings, and assisting with resident engagement and volunteer coordination. You will play an essential part in delivering exceptional experiences that enrich the lives of seniors at The Glen.

This position requires a high level of interpersonal skills and a warm, positive attitude, suited for those who enjoy interacting throughout the day in a vibrant and ever-changing environment. Your ability to organize, communicate, and manage time effectively will be critical to your success, as will your proficiency with basic computer skills. A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Chauffeur’s License are necessary to assist residents with transportation to appointments and outings. Physical stamina is also important since the role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling up to 90 pounds, and standing or walking for extended periods.

The Glen prides itself on being a supportive community that values professional growth and offers employees the chance to be an integral part of a caring and active team. The facility encourages personal and professional development, ensuring that team members feel appreciated and motivated as they contribute to the well-being and happiness of the residents. At The Glen, employees don’t just work – they become part of a family committed to excellent care and making each day better for those they serve.

Joining The Glen means becoming a member of a community where you can truly make a difference, exceed expectations, and collaborate with a compassionate team. The organization’s culture emphasizes quality care, exceptional customer service, and going above and beyond to ensure residents feel at home. If you are someone who is enthusiastic about working with seniors and eager to bring joy, creativity, and meaningful connection into people's lives every day, The Glen offers the perfect environment to thrive and grow your career.
