Job Description
Numerica Credit Union is a well-established financial institution dedicated to enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams, and building communities across eastern and central Washington as well as northern Idaho. As a member-owned cooperative, Numerica offers a comprehensive range of products and services tailored to support its members' financial needs. The credit union is renowned for its commitment to community involvement, providing financial education, and fostering strong relationships with its members and local organizations. Numerica's mission centers on delivering exceptional service while acting as a responsible corporate citizen, continuously striving to make a positive impact in the regions it serves.
The Community Impact & Communications Coordinator is a pivotal role within Numerica Credit Union's Community Impact & Communications (CI&C) department. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Community Impact & Communications, this non-exempt position offers an hourly wage range of $28.36 to $42.56. The role is designed to support and execute Numerica's brand strategy as it relates to community and business development, financial education initiatives, member engagement, and comprehensive communications efforts.
This position is part of a dynamic, innovative, and creative team dedicated to giving back to the community and supporting member financial well-being through educational programs and products. The Coordinator will be an external brand ambassador, responsible for maintaining and enhancing Numerica's reputation by engaging warmly and professionally with community members, partners, and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include organizing and managing community impact events, sponsorships, grant programs, scholarships, employee engagement activities such as volunteerism, content creation, and social media strategies.
The Coordinator will work collaboratively across all business lines and with senior management to drive strategic plan outcomes, including event planning, community outreach, business development, and relationship management. This includes fostering partnerships with community organizations, universities, and corporate sponsors while effectively leveraging communication and marketing strategies to tell the credit union's story and build member loyalty.
Additional duties involve administering the Numerica Charitable Fund and supporting initiatives like Numerica CARES for Kids, volunteer recruitment, managing event logistics and promotional supplies, and representing the credit union at public events with professionalism and confidence. The role requires adeptness at multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational, communication, and public speaking skills.
Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, public relations, communications, project management or a related field, along with at least three years of relevant experience. Candidates with financial education teaching experience, social media expertise, strong writing skills, and a history of community involvement will be especially well-suited for this role. Numerica Credit Union values diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer, committed to providing equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other legally protected characteristic.
