With a growing team known for its commitment, passion, and strong culture, Better Health Group makes a tangible impact in the communities it serves, creating opportunities for professional growth and development for its employees. The company prides itself on not only setting high standards but also living by them to foster a purposeful and rewarding work environment.
The role of Community Events Specialist at Better Health Group is a vital, autonomous position responsible for managing and executing all community event activity within an assigned region. This position plays a pivotal role in promoting Medicare beneficiary awareness and expanding access to Better Health Group’s care model through high-quality, compliant educational events and community outreach efforts. Positioned within a structured enterprise-wide strategy and regulatory framework, the Community Events Specialist operates with full independent judgment over regional event planning, budgeting, vendor and partner coordination, and compliance adherence, particularly concerning Medicare marketing regulations and the Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS).
The Community Events Specialist is entrusted with the complete ownership of regional event budgets, decision-making authority over every operational aspect, and accountability for the outcomes of each event in their designated area. Responsibilities extend from initial event concept development to post-event analysis, including managing broker engagement sessions and large-scale community events. The Specialist must ensure all activities, from invitations and RSVPs to on-site logistics and follow-ups, comply with CMS guidelines, HIPAA requirements, and internal policies. This role demands a high degree of regulatory knowledge, financial acumen, negotiation skills, and cultural sensitivity to effectively serve diverse patient populations and uphold the organization’s mission of promoting better health.
Additionally, the Community Events Specialist fosters strong relationships with brokers, partners, and community stakeholders to facilitate educational and marketing events under lawful and ethical standards. They independently manage vendor agreements, financial transactions, and resource allocations, ensuring transparency and compliance to mitigate regulatory risks. By maintaining accurate records, leveraging CRM platforms, and delivering performance reports, the Specialist contributes valuable regional insights to enterprise-wide strategies. This dynamic role offers a salary range of USD 50,000 to 60,000 per year and requires significant travel within the region (up to 75%), flexibility for evening and weekend events, and the ability to handle physical aspects related to event management. This position promises an enriching career opportunity for professionals passionate about community health outreach, regulatory compliance, and event management within the healthcare industry.
