Job Description
Better Health Group is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for Medicare beneficiaries through innovative care models and community-focused initiatives. With a firm commitment to delivering best-in-class healthcare experiences, Better Health Group operates with a passion for helping others achieve better health outcomes. The company stands out in the healthcare landscape by fostering a culture of dedication, shared mission, and continuous growth. Team members at Better Health Group are empowered to make meaningful impacts every day by supporting providers and payors with the necessary resources and tools to succeed. As part of a dynamic and expanding team, the organization prioritizes professional development alongside personal growth, making it an ideal workplace for driven individuals seeking to align their careers with a purpose-driven mission.
The role of Community Events Specialist at Better Health Group is a vital position focused on executing high-quality, compliant educational events and community outreach activities across the state of Florida. This autonomous role is charged with full ownership of all community event activities within the regional market, including planning, budgeting, vendor management, partner relations, and regulatory compliance. The Community Events Specialist ensures that community-centered events support Medicare beneficiary awareness, promote access to healthcare services, and align with the company’s enterprise-wide strategic framework and Medicare marketing regulations. The position offers a unique opportunity to operate independently while receiving supportive oversight from management on compliance matters and broader strategic goals.
As the regional leader in event logistics and engagement strategies, the Community Events Specialist oversees the complete lifecycle of community events, including broker engagement sessions and large-scale public gatherings. This includes conceptualizing events, selecting venues, coordinating catering and audiovisual needs, and managing follow-ups such as RSVPs and attendance tracking. The Specialist's responsibilities extend to managing a dedicated budget, negotiating cost-sharing agreements with regional health partners, and ensuring all activities comply with CMS Medicare marketing regulations and Anti-Kickback Statute guidelines. Through meticulous documentation, proactive risk management, and collaborative vendor and partner management, the Community Events Specialist plays a critical role in extending Better Health Group’s mission of better health to underserved communities and Medicare beneficiaries.
This position requires a well-rounded professional who is adept in event management, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and relationship building with brokers and community partners. A strong knowledge of Medicare Advantage and Part D regulations is essential, along with the ability to make independent decisions that maximize event outcomes and adherence to legal frameworks. The Community Events Specialist will also leverage CRM systems to track event performance and participant engagement data, providing insightful reports to guide enterprise strategy. This role involves frequent travel within Florida, hands-on event coordination, and occasional evening or weekend commitments based on event schedules. Overall, this position is ideal for a motivated, organized, and regulatory-savvy individual committed to making a tangible difference in community health outreach and education.
