Community Engagement Coordinator

The role of Community Engagement Coordinator at FSRI is a vital position within the backbone agency responsible for facilitating stakeholder and resident engagement, community building, and the identification of local assets and needs. This role plays an essential part in advancing the goals of the Providence 02905 Health Equity Zone (HEZ), a key initiative aimed at addressing health disparities and improving health equity within the defined community. The Community Engagement Coordinator primarily manages deliverables, expectations, and data collection related to funding for HEZ activities. The position requires active participation in coordinating and attending community events to foster relationships with existing HEZ partners and recruit new organizations, individuals, and other stakeholders.

Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for disseminating information, collecting relevant data, and scheduling and facilitating HEZ meetings as well as attending Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) meetings as necessary. Collaboration with the HEZ Project Director is critical to ensure that project activities and goals progress as planned. This role demands flexibility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
