Job Description

American Property Management (APM) is a leader in multifamily property management, founded in 1987 and headquartered in Bellevue, Washington. With over three decades of experience and more than 5,500 units under management, APM exemplifies excellence in the property management sector. The company emphasizes innovation through the integration of AI and modern technology to streamline operations and empower its teams. This approach not only reduces time spent on routine administrative tasks such as delinquency follow-ups and renewal processing but also enhances collaboration and data-driven decision making. APM is committed to fostering a positive work environment that encourages creativity, diversity, and continuous improvement within its workforce.

The Community Consultant Part-time (Leasing Agent) role at Laguna Creek Apartments in Elk Grove, CA, offers a valuable opportunity to join this dynamic organization. This position is part-time, requiring an on-site presence primarily on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility for additional hours depending on company needs. Laguna Creek Apartments is a 160-unit garden-style community built in 2003, providing residents a high quality living experience. As a Leasing Agent, the individual will act as a vital link between prospective tenants and the property management team, showcasing units, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting residents throughout the rental process. The hourly pay range is $24 to $26, with additional monthly leasing bonus incentives.

The ideal candidate for this role possesses solid customer service experience, preferably within the multifamily or student housing industry, and has a thorough understanding of relevant federal housing laws. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are critical for success. Equally important is the ability to work collaboratively while maintaining a positive outlook and pride in one’s work. This position demands physical attendance at the job location, so candidates should be prepared to commute or relocate accordingly. Importantly, current residents of the property are not eligible to apply.

In addition to competitive wages, APM has cultivated a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and employee development. Training programs and team-building events help create an engaging and supportive workplace. The company also prioritizes integrity, transparency, and respect, striving to be recognized as the best asset management company in the Western United States. Candidates interested in making a lasting impact in property management and dedicated to providing exemplary service are encouraged to apply. The recruitment process includes an online assessment, virtual and/or on-site interviews, and background screening with drug testing to ensure a qualified and trustworthy team member joins the company.
