Known for delivering superb risk-adjusted returns to shareholders, AvalonBay has established itself as a leader in the apartment housing industry. The company prides itself on its commitment to creating a better way to live, which is reflected in every aspect of its operations, from community development to resident engagement. The company's leadership approach emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and ownership, fostering an environment where associates are encouraged to contribute meaningfully to the company's mission.
AvalonBay Communities is currently seeking a full-time Community Concierge based in San Francisco, California, with a weekly schedule of 40 hours, specifically working Wednesday through Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The role offers a base salary range between $46,400 and $65,500, which reflects the value AvalonBay places on experienced and dedicated professionals who are passionate about enhancing resident experiences.
The Community Concierge position is integral to maintaining AvalonBay’s reputation for exceptional customer service and luxury apartment living. This role involves managing front desk operations and serving as the welcoming face of AvalonBay Communities to residents, prospects, and vendors. The Concierge is responsible for monitoring front desk activities, facilitating smooth communication, providing information and personalized recommendations, and enhancing the overall community living experience. Additionally, this role requires close collaboration with the leasing and maintenance teams to orchestrate a seamless move-in and move-out process, while consistently upholding company standards for customer satisfaction.
This is a unique opportunity for professionals who enjoy problem-solving, demonstrate strong communication skills, and can effectively manage their time while maintaining a positive disposition. The ideal candidate exhibits patience and organizational skills, ensuring all resident requests, messages, and packages are managed efficiently and escalated appropriately when necessary. The role also suits individuals with hospitality experience seeking to supplement their work schedule or gain valuable insight into property management and community-focused customer service.
At AvalonBay, associates are valued as the core drivers of the company’s success. The organization fosters a culture grounded in integrity, caring, and continuous improvement. Associates enjoy a supportive work environment with comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid vacation and holidays, tuition reimbursement, and an employee stock purchase plan. AvalonBay is committed to promoting from within, recognizing achievements through dedicated programs, and offering a 20% discount on apartment homes.
