Job Description
Core Spaces (Core) is a forward-thinking real estate investment management company that focuses on acquiring, developing, and managing residential communities primarily within the student housing and build-to-rent (BTR) sectors. Established in 2010, Core has rapidly become known not just as a real estate company, but as a people-centered organization where relationship-building holds equal importance to property development. The culture at Core is deeply rooted in six core values: PUSH (Invent Better Places to Live), GRIT (We Got This), LIFT (Help Each Other Win), SHINE (Bring Your Full Self), UPHOLD (Never Break Trust), and GROW (Always Get Better), guiding the company’s approach to collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. These cultural pillars influence everything from design and service to resident experience, helping redefine modern living across their portfolio.
Core’s portfolio includes over 74,440 student housing beds currently owned or managed, with a substantial pipeline of 53,860 beds in development. Their build-to-rent division adds to the scale with over 3,000 homes under development or leasing in key high-growth metropolitan areas across the United States. This expansive and diverse portfolio reflects Core’s commitment to progressive design, world-class amenities, and hospitality-driven service that elevates community lifestyle standards.
The Community Concierge plays an essential on-site role, acting as the frontline representative of a residential community’s leasing office. This position is pivotal in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by engaging with prospective residents and current community members alike. The Community Concierge conducts tours of the community to prospective residents, follows up promptly with leads, and leads marketing efforts that enhance community engagement and resident retention. Additionally, this role includes evening and overnight on-call duties, requiring flexibility and dedication to resident satisfaction and operational excellence. Clerical and administrative responsibilities are also part of this multifaceted position, showcasing the need for organizational skills and adaptability.
This role demands a minimum availability of 15 hours per week, with full shifts typically lasting at least 3 hours onsite. The work schedule often includes evenings, weekends, and overtime to accommodate community needs such as move-ins, move-outs, and special events. The Community Concierge is also responsible for upholding Core's brand standards throughout the community, managing social media content and marketing collateral using tools like Canva, and helping to secure strategic partnerships that benefit the community. They may represent the property by attending and presenting at student organizations and sponsored events, further promoting the community’s presence and value.
Employees in this role benefit from a supportive culture focused on belonging and respect, competitive pay, generous paid time off to support work-life balance, and access to an Employee Assistance Program that offers confidential support services. Retirement benefits include options for 401(k) plans with matching contributions and a Roth option, ensuring financial security alongside career development opportunities. Core’s dynamic, inclusive, and collaborative work environment fosters personal growth and professional achievement, making it an ideal workplace for individuals passionate about community engagement and the future of residential living.
