The Community Liaison position at Cook Valley Estates, a Brio Living Services community located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, offers a unique opportunity to be the welcoming face and trusted connection for residents and guests. This part-time role, scheduled for 20 hours weekly from Monday through Thursday and every other Friday from 4pm to 9pm, centers on administrative coordination and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting daily operations, ensuring smooth communication and engagement within the community. Responsibilities include assisting the Director with administrative procedures and special projects, preparing correspondence and reports, managing mail and communications, supporting marketing activities by coordinating newspaper ads and mailings, and managing room reservations for community spaces.
The Community Liaison is integral to creating a friendly, organized, and responsive atmosphere where residents feel supported and at home. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office equipment, coupled with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently, is essential. The role also includes physical requirements such as lifting objects weighing up to 35 pounds. - prior administrative experience
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Job Duties
- assist the Director in developing, organizing, and implementing administrative procedures and special projects
- prepare and process correspondence, newsletters, reports, and statistical data
- coordinate and distribute internal mail, U.S. mail, and newspapers
- maintain the highest standards of customer service in all interactions
- support marketing programs by running newspaper ads and coordinating mailings
- manage the room reservation process for community rooms, the private dining room, and guest rooms
- ensure adequate office supplies, resident essentials, and marketing materials are readily available
