Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One year experience in coordinating group activities
- Valid First Aid/CPR Card or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility for the Tribe’s automobile insurance
- Ability to stand, walk, balance, bend, crouch, kneel, twist, use foot controls and operate a motor vehicle frequently
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to twenty pounds frequently
- Ability to sit, talk, hear, use hands to grasp objects or controls frequently
- Specific vision abilities including close, distance and peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work in moderately loud noise environments
- Ability to occasionally work outdoors
- Physical stamina to perform manual and administrative tasks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent

- Skilled in supervisory techniques and practices including managing, scheduling, assigning, coordinating and monitoring work of others

- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of mathematics, English language including composition and grammar
- Knowledge of teaching methods for individuals and groups
- Knowledge of laws and government regulations
- Knowledge of human behavior, learning and motivation
- Knowledge of Native American culture and history
- Knowledge of drug and alcohol rehabilitation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality

Job Duties
- Assist with the operations of the Community Center including facility, gym, events and classes during assigned shift
- Ensure that the building, equipment and machines are working during assigned shift
- Inspect the entire facility and operations for safety hazards, cleanliness and potential problems at the beginning and end of shifts
- Perform miscellaneous duties such as answering phones and helping set-up for events or activities
- Follow administrative and program policies and procedures within assigned areas
- Assist with the opening and closing of the building for all scheduled events and inspect after events for proper clean up
- Monitor staffing levels, observe employee performance, coordinate employee rotations and breaks, manage call-outs and no-shows
- Represent the organization in a positive manner
- Maintain professional dress standards and personal appearance
- Meet attendance guidelines by reporting to work as scheduled
- Perform other job-related tasks and special assignments as required
