As a pioneer in flexible office space, WeWork fosters a collaborative community where members are empowered to do their best work and take their ideas to new heights. The company is dedicated to supporting entrepreneurial ventures and corporate enterprises alike by providing dynamic work environments designed to inspire productivity and creativity. With a mission to build a global community and promote collaboration among diverse industries, WeWork stands out as a hub for innovation and professional growth. The organization values integrity, responsibility, and a passion for community-building, ensuring that every workspace contributes to a thriving network of professionals.
The role of Community Associate at WeWork is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about creating vibrant, welcoming environments within coworking spaces. As the primary point of contact in your assigned building, you will be the face of WeWork, representing the company’s core values and mission every day. This full-time position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $24 to $26 and includes participation in an incentive compensation plan applicable to the role. You will be integral to building a supportive and collaborative community through direct interaction with members and guests, managing daily front desk operations, and supporting community events and engagement initiatives. Reporting to the Community Management team, the Community Associate helps ensure the smooth operation of the building, from managing mail and key distribution to maintaining building safety and operational procedures.
Your responsibilities will vary depending on whether you serve a diverse member base or focus on enterprise clients, each with unique requirements in technical systems, relationship management, and property oversight. You will cover front desk duties during business hours, greet members and guests warmly, and uphold WeWork’s guest policies, including managing visitor sign-ins. Building and nurturing relationships with members is a significant part of the role, aimed at enhancing their experience and fostering a strong sense of community. The position also involves coordinating and promoting community events, assisting with operational requirements for these events, and using various management systems to document member feedback and engagement.
Success in this role requires strong interpersonal and multitasking skills, a keen sense of integrity and responsibility, and enthusiasm for entrepreneurial communities. The Community Associate is expected to communicate clearly and efficiently with members, staff, and guests and proactively address their needs and concerns. Organizational tasks such as mailroom management, key tracking, and emergency equipment oversight are essential to maintaining the building's functionality and safety standards. Additionally, the role involves acting as a resource for members by offering local recommendations and facilitating connections among the community.
WeWork values employees who bring dedication, self-awareness, compassion, and a collaborative spirit. This position not only allows you to grow professionally but also to participate in a global vision that embraces diversity, creativity, and inclusion. Benefits include 20 days of paid time off, approximately 13 paid holidays, 80 hours of paid sick leave annually, 16 weeks of paid parental leave, comprehensive healthcare options, a 401k plan, and life and AD&D insurance. The company fosters a supportive and inclusive work culture where your unique perspectives are celebrated, and you have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a vibrant workplace community.
