This Part-time Leasing Consultant role at Greystar involves supporting a team of property management professionals to achieve occupancy and resident retention goals. The position requires performing a variety of administrative and leasing-related tasks at the community level. The Leasing Consultant handles essential duties such as managing resident paperwork, facilitating leasing processes, conducting virtual and in-person tours, and assisting with marketing and outreach efforts to promote the community. Additionally, this role requires working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and being on-call for after-hours resident emergencies. The physical demands of the role include the ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 25 pounds independently, ensuring readiness to handle on-site tasks and engagements in various weather conditions. The hourly pay ranges from $15.00 to $16.00 and may include eligibility for bonus programs based on individual and company performance. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in property management, leasing, or customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects and crawl in confined areas
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift and/or maneuver weights of up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance
- Ability to respond to after-hours resident emergencies and participate in on-call rotations
- Ability to perform multiple administrative and leasing-related tasks simultaneously
- Basic computer literacy
- Reliable transportation for possible travel to other properties or meetings
- Ability to work under pressure and meet occupancy and retention goals.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in leasing, property management, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform administrative tasks efficiently
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with leasing software or property management systems is a plus
- Ability to respond promptly and professionally to resident inquiries and emergencies.
Job Duties
- Performs administrative tasks for the leasing office including but not limited to copying documents, filing resident files, preparing notices, handling resident calls, and organizing rent payments and other collateral materials
- Assists with sales and leasing activities to achieve the property's revenue and occupancy goals by conducting virtual tours, responding to online inquiries, greeting and qualifying prospects, conducting property tours, and showing apartments
- Assists with the lease preparation process by generating all required lease paperwork and organizing resident lease files
- Assists with move in and move out process for residents
- commits to working move-in and move-outs with the understanding that these events, along with turn, are mandatory work dates
- Answers incoming calls and sets appointments for prospects to tour the property
- Performs on-campus marketing outreach to generate community awareness and qualified traffic
- Assists with coordinating resident functions, including parties, birthday cards, unit visits, and other programs to achieve resident satisfaction goals
- Schedules and conducts resident visits as directed and distributes notices such as flyers, newsletters, resident surveys, and late notices
- Acts as an after-hours liaison between residents and property management
- responds to after-hours emergencies within a required period of time
- responds quickly and courteously to resident concerns and questions and takes prompt action to solve problems and/or document and convey resident or other requests to the appropriate individual(s).
