Job Description

Dutch Bros Coffee is a dynamic and vibrant coffee company known for its unique culture of fun, community involvement, and passion for making a difference one cup at a time. Founded with a commitment not only to quality beverages but also to philanthropy and community engagement, Dutch Bros has grown into more than just a coffee provider; it is a fun-loving, mind-blowing company that values its team members and the positive impact it can make locally and nationally. The company culture thrives on a strong belief in the work being done, fostering an environment where employees are motivated and excited about their roles. Dutch Bros Coffee stands out in the coffee industry by combining high-quality products with a passionate community focus, driven by its core value of philanthropy which permeates every aspect of the company.

The Community Activation Coordinator at Dutch Bros Coffee is an exciting and multifaceted role that perfectly blends corporate giving with local brand activation. This position is designed to support the operational and administrative functions of the company’s philanthropic initiatives while simultaneously coordinating field marketing efforts. Operating on a full-time basis with approximately 40 hours weekly, this hybrid role divides time between the Giving team (30 hours per week) and the Field Marketing team (10 hours per week), offering a unique opportunity to engage with both internal teams and external community partnerships.

The Giving Program Administrator component of the role is heavily focused on supporting Dutch Bros’ many philanthropic programs, ensuring that all grant nominations, donations, and associated data are meticulously processed, tracked, and reported to measure the impact of these vital initiatives. The coordinator ensures smooth communication channels by managing the central giving inbox, assisting with Foundation Board meetings, and maintaining key contact databases for nonprofit partners, regional field leads, and community stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves hands-on management of local community events, volunteer activations, and various campaigns such as Dutch Luv, Buck for Kids, and Drink One for Dane. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can manage multiple priorities with professionalism and efficiency.

Moreover, the Field Marketing Activation responsibilities round out the position by connecting corporate philanthropic goals with local marketing efforts. The coordinator serves as the tactical liaison supporting local shop activations by coordinating assets, signage, promotional materials, volunteer mobilization, and capturing impactful content during field events. This vital bridging role supports community impact goals, ensures alignment with marketing calendars, and helps energize brand ambassador efforts during community festivals and neighborhood giving days.

Located in Tempe, Arizona, this position requires working in the office for four days per week with an option for remote work on Fridays, offering a balanced work environment. The role requires local travel to Dutch Bros shops and community events to fulfill field activation duties effectively. Compensation for the position is dependent on experience (DOE), and the role is suited for a candidate passionate about community engagement, enthusiastic about marketing, and eager to contribute meaningfully to a company renowned for its philanthropic spirit and unique, fun culture.
