The Communication Specialist role at Rogers Machinery is a full-time, on-site position with some travel involved. This role is pivotal to the company’s marketing and communications strategy, focusing on driving brand awareness, customer engagement, lead generation, and sales enablement through integrated communication initiatives across both digital and traditional marketing channels. With an hourly pay range of $34 to $36, this role offers a competitive compensation package reflective of the expertise required.
In this position, the Communication Specialist will own and execute the social media strategy across multiple platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and others, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Responsibilities also include managing paid social campaigns, email marketing strategies, and various public relations initiatives, as well as maintaining advertising and directory listings. The role demands strong organizational and communication skills, a deep understanding of brand voice and positioning by target markets, and the ability to develop and implement strategic multi-channel marketing campaigns within a collaborative B2B environment. Additionally, the Communication Specialist supports event-related communications and coordinates tradeshow materials and branded promotional merchandise, playing a key role in enhancing Rogers Machinery’s public image and market reach.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of four years’ experience managing social media, email, and PR marketing strategies, with expertise using automation, scheduling, and analytics tools. Strong writing, editing, project management skills, and a preference for experience in B2B or industrial manufacturing environments are essential. A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field is preferred. Job Duties
- Own the strategy for social media channels across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and other relevant platforms, developing and executing these strategies aligning them with business outcomes
- Manage paid social campaign setup, optimization, and performance tracking across platforms
- Build social media content frameworks and campaign guidance for internal teams, distributors, vendors, and employee advocates
- Monitor social engagement, trends, and platform best practices
- Establish and own the strategy for email marketing, campaign execution, audience segmentation, and list building initiatives aligning with business goals
- Develop and distribute promotional, nurture, newsletter, and announcement email campaigns
- Maintain email marketing best practices including deliverability, list hygiene, and testing
- Produce regular reporting for social media and email channels respectively, PR impacts and high level marketing KPIs
- Analyze campaign performance and provide recommendations for optimization
- Maintain dashboards and monthly performance summaries for management
- Manage company listings across online directories and advertising platforms
- Identify new directory, advertising, and promotional opportunities
- Ensure listing accuracy, branding consistency, and optimization across platforms
- Distribute press releases, company announcements, and news updates
- Coordinate with publications, associations and media outlets on PR initiatives and placements
- Support broader public relations and brand awareness efforts
- Coordinate tradeshow marketing materials, collateral, and best practices
- Ensure timely preparation of promotional/event assets for shows and events
- Support event-related communications and post-show follow-up coordination
- Manage sourcing, ordering, inventory, and distribution of branded promotional items as needed
- Coordinate swag needs for events, internal initiatives, and customer-facing activities
