In this role, the coordinator collaborates closely with internal teams to develop, implement, and evaluate key educational and outreach initiatives on a statewide level. This involves crafting and refining communication materials like newsletters, press releases, and promotional content to ensure the message of donation awareness is delivered clearly and effectively. The position requires proactive participation in the planning and execution of special events and community activities that promote donor designation across targeted demographics.

The coordinator also serves as a professional liaison to student volunteers on high school and college campuses, assisting in the management and training of these volunteers to maximize their impact. Responsiveness to media and public inquiries is critical, as is managing exhibitor displays at various professional and community events such as health fairs, donor registration drives, community expos, and festivals.

A significant aspect of this role includes developing outreach campaigns tailored to multicultural communities, ensuring that the educational messages reach diverse audiences. Working with the communications team, the coordinator identifies social media partnerships to enhance mission-focused engagement, using platforms and content management tools effectively. Additionally, the position involves assisting with photography for events, requiring knowledge of graphic design, and proficiency in tools like PowerPoint and Canva.

Overall, the Communications Coordinator I position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause by enhancing public understanding and participation in organ and tissue donation.
