The OHC supports faculty, graduate and undergraduate students in their research and publication activities, encourages innovative course development, and coordinates public programming such as lectures, conferences, performances, and media presentations that connect scholarship to broader societal issues. Through its efforts, the OHC promotes understanding and dialogue about human culture and experience, reaching diverse audiences across the university and the state of Oregon.
The Communications Coordinator position at the Oregon Humanities Center plays a pivotal role in amplifying the center's visibility and impact by developing and executing comprehensive outreach, marketing, and communications strategies. This full-time, classified staff role is situated in Eugene, OR, with a salary range of $22.84 to $34.70 per hour and offers a regular, ongoing appointment with a full-time equivalent of 1.0. The position entails producing and editing the center's signature interview program, UO Today, and managing communications efforts across multiple platforms.
