Job Description
Our company is a dynamic and inclusive employer with a strong commitment to diversity and equal opportunity. We pride ourselves on fostering a workplace where every employee feels valued and empowered to bring their authentic self to work. As a prominent player in the logistics and warehousing sector, we specialize in efficient stock management, order fulfillment, and quality control, serving a diverse clientele that spans local and international markets. We understand the critical role warehouse operations play in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and services, and our team is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction.
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Porter to join our team at an hourly rate of $16.80. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. As a Warehouse Porter, you will be at the heart of our operations, responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock, completing orders for delivery or pickup, and ensuring rigorous inventory and quality control. This role not only demands physical stamina and precision but also offers a unique opportunity to develop hospitality skills through regular interaction with colleagues and customers from around the world.
The Warehouse Porter plays a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse activities. Your day-to-day duties will include handling the transfer of products and merchandise between locations, receiving shipments and performing quality checks to identify any damages, and ensuring that all items are stored correctly in the warehouse. You will operate essential warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, which requires a commitment to safety protocols and operational efficiency.
In addition to managing stock, the Warehouse Porter will conduct physical inventories to maintain up-to-date records and process requests for supplies. This role involves preparing merchandise for delivery and packaging items for shipment, requiring excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Working in this position means being adaptable to a busy warehouse environment where noise levels may vary, and exposure to different temperatures is common through the changing seasons.
We welcome candidates with a minimum age requirement, no strict demand for high school diploma or GED, and a preference for those with at least one year of warehouse experience. Basic math and counting skills are essential to ensure inventory accuracy and daily operational success. This role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift and move up to 165 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Safety and adherence to regulations are paramount, along with maintaining a positive and inclusive workplace culture for all employees.
