The Utility Associate role at HMSHost is a fundamental position responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene and operational efficiency within the company’s food service areas. Starting at $20.05 per hour, this non-exempt position involves a variety of duties such as cleaning equipment, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure impeccable sanitary conditions. The Utility Associate is tasked with ensuring that all workstations and food preparation areas are cleaned thoroughly using specific chemicals and cleaning processes. Key responsibilities also include managing stock levels, ensuring proper rotation and temperature checks of products, and assisting with the loading and unloading of supply trucks. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and security procedures, maintaining a clean and orderly work environment that meets health standards. The successful candidate will have the physical ability to perform tasks involving bending, twisting, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 40 pounds. Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Cleans equipment including work tables, refrigerators, and meat blocks
  • cleans utensils, pots and pans by hand or with dishwashing machine
  • returns clean utensils, pots and pans to their proper places
  • removes trash and garbage to designated areas
  • sweeps, mops, scrubs and buffs floors using heavy equipment
  • cleans walls, windows and steam cleans trashcans
  • stocks, dates, rotates and checks temperature of product
  • transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or hand truck
  • loads and unloads supply trucks
  • follows all security and safety procedures established by the company
