The role of a Prep Cook within our Commissary team is vital to our success. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, serving, selling, and maintaining food and beverage items efficiently and professionally. Your role will include tasks such as taking orders, receiving vendor deliveries, preparing licensed food packages, as well as cleaning and organizing food items. You are expected to follow all recipes strictly and practice portion control to ensure that every dish meets our high standards for taste and presentation. Setting up and maintaining kitchen stations throughout your shift is also an essential part of your responsibilities. You will handle the storage, rotation, and quality control of all food products to prevent waste and ensure freshness. Additionally, you will be expected to perform opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required to maintain a smooth workflow. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards to comply with health regulations is paramount in this role. As part of your duties, you will use standard cleaning products to sanitize your work area and equipment regularly. You should communicate proactively with management about stock levels and product shortages. This position requires a dedicated individual who can work under pressure and co-operate effectively with the team to deliver outstanding service to our guests. Professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are attributes necessary for success in this position.
