Job Description
FIFA26 is a pioneering organization tasked with the extraordinary responsibility of organizing the FIFA World Cup 2026, an event projected to be the most significant football tournament to date. This monumental event will, for the first time, feature an expanded format with 48 teams competing across three host countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. This tri-nation hosting represents a historic collaboration and promises to offer unparalleled opportunities for fan engagement, sport development, and cultural exchange across North America and globally. As the world’s most widely viewed sporting event, the FIFA World Cup captivates billions of fans and brings together diverse communities, cultures, and backgrounds in celebration of the beautiful game. The hosting of the World Cup in 2026 aims to redefine excellence in event hosting, combining sporting passion with innovation, inclusivity, and community engagement to create an unforgettable experience for fans and stakeholders alike.
FIFA26’s commitment extends beyond the tournament itself to shaping a holistic fan experience that transcends traditional expectations. The Commercial Stadium Fan Experience Manager role is critical in realizing this vision. This fixed-term contract position based in Atlanta will focus on operational excellence and seamless coordination of all activities related to stadium fan engagement areas. The Stadium Fan Experience (SFE) encompasses various commercial partner activations along with FIFA-led initiatives designed to enrich the match day environment for ticket holders. The role requires a candidate with robust sports event management expertise, an eye for logistical detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding fan interactions.
The Stadium Fan Experience Manager is organizationally accountable to the Tournament Headquarters and acts as the primary on-site liaison for production agencies, internal stakeholders, and external vendors. This individual ensures the flawless execution of all stadium activations, from initial setup through event operations to final dismantling. Responsibilities include overseeing partner booth logistics, enforcing compliance with venue rules, maintaining operational documentation, and troubleshooting issues in real time to uphold high standards of safety, branding, and service quality. The position demands excellent communication, project management skills, and a strategic mindset to anticipate challenges and implement innovative solutions that enhance the overall fan journey.
Candidates will ideally have a minimum of five years of experience in sports event management with an emphasis on sponsorship marketing, particularly within soccer or international multi-sport events. Proficiency in managing complex logistical frameworks, an understanding of marketing operations, and a service-oriented approach are essential. The role also values resilience under stress, attention to detail, and adaptability in a dynamic and high-pressure environment. Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of Spanish or French is advantageous, reflecting the multicultural nature of the host countries.
Joining FIFA26 means becoming part of a global movement dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion, committed to creating an environment free from discrimination and rich in opportunity for all. This role offers a unique chance to be a game changer in one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events, contributing to a team that plans and delivers a truly transformative fan and player experience. If you are passionate about sports, operational excellence, and fan engagement, this position in Atlanta provides an unparalleled platform to showcase your skills and make an impact on a global stage.
