The Commercial Services Coordinator role at Hyatt is designed for a highly motivated individual ready to take on additional responsibilities and grow within the hospitality industry. This position provides vital administrative support to a team of Event and Sales Managers, playing an integral role in coordinating hotel and event operations. Responsibilities include managing calendars and meeting schedules, coordinating client arrivals, detailing event orders, and assisting with internal operational preparations for group events. The coordinator also manages group accommodations, sorts and directs hotel sales leads, drafts contracts and proposals, and conducts research on client group histories. Part of the role includes assisting with site inspections, ensuring that every aspect of an event is meticulously planned and executed.

Job Requirements

  • minimum of 2 years in hospitality in a similar position or transferable skill set
  • must have a degree from an accredited university
  • hotel or event sales experience preferred
  • attention to details and ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of Opera and Envision systems preferred
  • working knowledge of all Microsoft Office systems required
  • proactive and organized
  • customer service oriented
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours
  • ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
