This specific opportunity within Pilot Company is an exciting and rewarding role tailored for technical professionals passionate about hands-on maintenance and repair work. The position offers an annual company performance-based bonus, no on-call requirements, and weekends off, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. Technicians working in this role are dispatched from home, logging 45-50+ hours per week, and compensated based on port-to-port pay. The company provides a service vehicle fully equipped with tools, equipment, a cell phone, and an iPad, with personal tools also allowed, further empowering employees to perform effectively. This role is critical in ensuring smooth operation and maintenance across approximately 15 store locations within the Lancaster, CA region.
The primary focus of this role is to perform installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of systems including facility HVAC/R systems, food service equipment, plumbing, fuel dispensers, and electrical infrastructure within various food and retail establishments. Responsibilities include responding efficiently to service requests, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment to meet warranty and industry standards while maintaining clear communication with supervisors and store management. Maintaining adequate stock levels, keeping the service vehicle and equipment in excellent condition, and adhering strictly to safety and regulatory compliance standards, including OSHA and company policies, are essential. Technicians are expected to model company values in all interactions, providing exceptional experiences for both guests and team members. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid state driver's license and positive driving record
- minimum 3 years of recent commercial HVAC service experience
- EPA Universal 608 certification
- minimum 3 years of recent experience repairing commercial cooking or refrigeration equipment
- basic knowledge of commercial plumbing and electrical systems
- basic understanding of OSHA guidelines
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- strong communication skills
- ability to work independently
- intermediate math skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Respond to service requests
- troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment in accordance with warranty requirements and industry standards
- communicate repair status with the service technician supervisor and store management
- complete same-day work order notes and submit them to your supervisor
- ensure proper charge allocations
- monitor and maintain adequate stock levels
- maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to company standards
- diagnose and repair fuel dispensers, replace fuel filters, and work on fuel security systems
- inspect facility interiors and exteriors for safety and maintenance issues
- perform preventive maintenance on equipment including rooftop HVAC units, split systems, ice machines, standalone refrigeration, fryers, and other food service equipment
- ensure all repairs and work activities comply with OSHA and Pilot Company regulations
