Job Description
WAHVE is an innovative company dedicated to providing experienced insurance professionals the opportunity to continue their careers while enjoying the flexibility of remote work. As a company focusing on transforming the traditional work environment, WAHVE offers a unique platform designed to support individuals in their transition toward retirement without exiting the workforce entirely. Their mission emphasizes real work/life balance, empowering employees to choose full or part-time schedules that suit their lifestyles. This approach not only allows seasoned insurance experts to maintain their professional engagement but also benefits the insurance industry by retaining valuable knowledge and expertise. WAHVE's remote work model reflects a modern, flexible employment structure that is especially attractive to those looking to phase into retirement seamlessly, blending professional fulfillment with personal well-being.
The role being offered is for Commercial Lines Underwriting Assistants or Associate Underwriters, tailored for candidates with extensive experience in Commercial Lines Property and Casualty insurance. This remote position involves supporting insurance carriers, managing general agencies (MGAs), and wholesale broker clients. Candidates well-versed in various sectors such as General Liability, Professional/Management Liability, Property, Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, Umbrella, Cyber, Farm and Agriculture, Inland Marine, Surety Bond, and Excess & Surplus commercial lines will find versatile opportunities within this role.
The responsibilities attached to this position include reviewing submission information alongside underwriters, coordinating quoting, binding, and issuing insurance policies, and researching appropriate rates, coverages, and policy forms. Associates also manage notices related to cancellations, nonrenewals, and reinstatements, foster strong relationships with underwriters, producers, brokers, and reinsurers, and ensure meticulous file documentation consistent with company guidelines. Importantly, this position offers the benefit of stable, long-term employment combined with the flexibility of working from home.
Employment type options include both full-time and part-time schedules, catering to diverse candidate preferences and providing an ideal environment for professionals aiming to maintain their industry involvement while enjoying personal flexibility. This role includes valuable benefits such as health insurance eligibility, a 401(k) plan with company matching, and the opportunity to escape daily office stresses and commuting while remaining professionally active. WAHVE values creating a supportive and welcoming virtual workplace where experienced professionals can connect, share knowledge, and thrive in a dynamic team environment from the comfort of their homes.
