The role offered involves working as a Commercial Lines Underwriting Assistant or Associate Underwriter for clients that include insurance carriers, managing general agents (MGAs), and wholesale brokers. These positions focus on various commercial lines Property & Casualty insurance sectors, such as General Liability, Professional/Management Liability, Property insurance, Workers’ Compensation, Commercial Auto, Umbrella policies, Cyber insurance, Inland Marine, Surety Bond, and Excess & Surplus lines. Candidates will leverage their insurance expertise to support underwriting functions by analyzing submissions, coordinating quotes and policy issuance, applying appropriate rates and policy forms, and maintaining detailed records according to company standards.

This is a remote, long-term position that offers stability and the benefit of working within a dynamic virtual team.   • 10 most recent years of commercial lines property and casualty insurance experience

Job Qualifications

  • familiarity with commercial lines insurance policies and procedures
  • experience with insurance quoting and binding processes

Job Duties

  • review submission information with the underwriter including analysis of account information
  • coordinate the quoting, binding, and issuance process
  • research and apply appropriate rates, coverages, and policy forms
  • issue notices of cancellation, nonrenewal notices, or reinstatements
  • develop and maintain superior relationships with underwriters, producers, brokers, and reinsurers
  • maintain accurate file documentation in accordance with company guidelines
