With a strong emphasis on valuing significant insurance experience, WAHVE empowers qualified candidates to continue utilizing their expertise in a flexible, work-from-home environment. This innovative platform enables individuals to retire from the office but not from work, providing real work-life balance and autonomy over their schedules. The company offers both full-time and part-time roles, ensuring that professionals can choose a commitment level that suits their lifestyle and career goals. Working with WAHVE means being part of a welcoming workplace community characterized by friendly, professional leadership and a culture dedicated to exceptional customer service and preservation of industry knowledge.
The role currently available is the Commercial Lines Underwriter or Associate Underwriter position. These roles serve clients within the insurance carrier, Managing General Agent (MGA), and wholesale broker sectors, primarily across various Property and Casualty lines of business. This includes sectors such as General Liability, Professional and Management Liability, Property, Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, Umbrella, Cyber, Farm and Agriculture, Inland Marine, Surety Bond, and Excess and Surplus lines. The position demands robust underwriting skills, keen risk assessment capabilities, and the ability to manage a portfolio that balances new and renewal business. Underwriters at WAHVE are expected to make critical decisions regarding risk acceptability, coverage options, and pricing strategies while maintaining strong relationships with producers, brokers, and reinsurers. This role offers a long-term, remote work arrangement with competitive pay ranging from $30.00 to $45.00 per hour and includes company benefits such as health insurance, 401(k) with matching, and flexible schedules. The environment and company values ensure that underwriting professionals not only contribute their expertise but also benefit from reduced stress by eliminating office commutes and allowing for a tailored workload in a virtual team setting.
