Job Description

WAHVE is a pioneering company dedicated to transforming the traditional retirement and work experience for seasoned insurance professionals. As a remote-first organization, WAHVE values the extensive knowledge and expertise that experienced insurance individuals bring to the table, especially those looking to phase into retirement without completely stepping away from the workforce. They offer an innovative approach by enabling qualified candidates to continue their careers from the comfort of their own homes, embodying the philosophy of "retiring from the office but not from work." This hybrid work model is especially appealing in today's rapidly evolving employment landscape, where flexibility and work-life balance have become paramount to employee satisfaction and productivity.

WAHVE's stature within the insurance domain is marked by its commitment to supporting Property & Casualty insurance professionals, specifically through its focus on Commercial Lines Account Manager positions. These roles are designed to maintain and nurture relationships with independent retail broker clients, helping manage their commercial lines insurance accounts with expert oversight and personalized customer service. The company prides itself on fostering a warm work environment, underscored by leadership that is approachable and deeply invested in the welfare of both its staff and clients. This empathetic approach extends to their hiring of what they term "vintage experts" - seasoned professionals who bring decades of experience, especially those with at least 25 years of full-time work experience and a decade of recent activity in the Commercial Lines Property & Casualty insurance sector.

The Commercial Lines Account Manager position at WAHVE is a long-term, remote opportunity that offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing candidates to select either full-time or part-time hours based on their lifestyle needs. The role is crucial, encompassing a spectrum of duties from client account management and preparing insurance applications to coordinating with underwriters for quotes and policy issuance. Additionally, familiarity with agency management systems such as EPIC, AMS360, Sagitta, or Hawksoft is preferred, with a high demand currently noted specifically for EPIC and AMS360 expertise.

Employment with WAHVE not only ensures competitive compensation reflective of the candidate's prior insurance experience but also includes access to valuable company benefits. These benefits range from health insurance eligibility to participation in a 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% company match, supporting the financial and personal well-being of their staff. Beyond tangible benefits, WAHVE offers an escape from the traditional office environment—freeing employees from the stress and time loss of commuting—while keeping their professional skills and networks active within a supportive virtual team environment.

This approach to employment and retirement is changing the narrative for experienced insurance professionals by providing meaningful work opportunities tailored to their stage of life and career. WAHVE's model supports seasoned experts in leveraging their decades of insurance industry knowledge, continuing to contribute productively while enjoying the benefits of flexibility, autonomy, and reduced workplace stress.
