Boeing Commercial Airplanes is currently seeking a senior manager level Regional Director for the Commercial Field Service team. This critical position will be based at one of several key locations including Seal Beach, CA; Seattle, WA; North Charleston, SC; Arlington, CA; or Berkeley, MO. The Regional Director will lead a team responsible for providing direct and technical customer support for a designated geographic region. Candidates must be flexible to work domestic or international assignments and comply with immigration and health policies applicable to assignment locations. The role requires strong leadership skills to manage field service managers and employees located at customer facilities, ensuring comprehensive technical support for commercial airplanes.

Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain work visa depending on country requirements
- Ability to pass security background checks for airport and customer badging
- Must meet cultural requirements of the assignment country
- 5+ years of relevant aviation engineering, technical or maintenance experience
- 3+ years of engineering leadership experience
- 5+ years experience working with cross-functional teams and external customers
- Willingness to work 100% onsite at listed locations
- Ability to follow worldwide immigration and health policies
- Must satisfy company’s conflict of interest assessment
- Compliance with drug-free workplace policy
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience in aviation-related engineering, technical or maintenance roles supporting airline or government customers
- 5+ years experience working with cross-functional teams and external customers
- 3+ years in engineering leadership roles such as lead or manager
- Experience providing customer support for commercial airlines preferred
- Experience working in a global environment preferred
- A&P license preferred
- Experience managing dispersed teams preferred
Job Duties
- Manages field service first-level managers and employees performing technical support for commercial airplanes
- Develops and executes customer support strategies and tactics to support customer commitments
- Directs coordination of technical and administrative support activities for customer issues
- Develops and executes business plans, policies, procedures and organizational strategies
- Develops and maintains relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops and motivates employees
