Job Description

WAHVE is a forward-thinking company revolutionizing the insurance industry by providing experienced insurance professionals with the opportunity to work remotely while phasing into retirement. As a company, WAHVE values significant insurance experience and is dedicated to creating a supportive and dynamic work environment that offers excellent work-life balance. The company is known for its friendly and professional leadership, and it focuses on delivering superior customer service while preserving crucial industry knowledge. WAHVE operates with a unique philosophy: "retire from the office but not from work." This means that experienced insurance professionals can continue to utilize their expertise in flexible, long-term roles from the comfort of their homes. The company offers both full-time and part-time work schedules to accommodate different lifestyle needs and preferences.

Joining WAHVE as a Commercial Claims Adjuster or Examiner means becoming part of a vibrant virtual team that supports insurance carriers and third-party administrators (TPAs) with claims management. The role involves handling a variety of insurance claims lines including General Liability, Bodily Injury, Property, Commercial Auto Liability and Physical Damage, Workers Compensation, Inland Marine, Professional and Management Liability, Business Interruption, Liquor Liability, Garage/ Garagekeepers Legal Liability, and Umbrella claims. Candidates are welcomed regardless of whether they have knowledge in all or some of these lines, as the company emphasizes quality and experience.

This position offers the chance to work remotely, eliminating the typical office stress and commuting time, which greatly contributes to a better work-life balance. Employees can set their own schedules, choosing between full-time or part-time hours, and focus on the types of claims work that best suit their skills and interests. The role requires comprehensive claim handling skills such as setting up claims in management systems, proper documentation, reviewing essential documents like police reports and bills, and conducting recorded statements from insureds and claimants. Additional desired experience includes litigation and subrogation, setting reserves, and drafting Reservation of Rights letters. An adjuster's license is a plus but not mandatory. There is a current high demand for candidates with experience in Litigation, Commercial Auto, Bodily Injury, or Construction Defects claims.

WAHVE seeks candidates with a robust professional background: a minimum of 25 years of full-time work experience and at least 10 recent years of property and casualty (P&C) commercial claims adjusting experience with an insurance carrier or TPA. The company offers competitive benefits including health insurance based on eligibility, a 401(k) plan with a 4% matching contribution, and the flexibility of working from home. The culture is centered around mutual respect, knowledge sharing, and a shared commitment to outstanding service. Employees become part of a connected community of insurance professionals, continuing to grow and contribute their expertise in meaningful ways.
