This position is for a Color Mixer Specialist at Sherwin-Williams Store #2145 located at 306-A Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29609. This is a full-time role that emphasizes providing excellent customer service while achieving sales goals and maintaining store standards. As a Color Mixer Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately tinting and mixing paints to customers’ specifications, assisting both wholesale and retail customers by recommending the right products to meet their needs. This role involves regular interaction with customers, including minors, and access to cash handling, electronic equipment, store merchandise, and sensitive customer information.

The Color Mixer Specialist plays a critical role in upholding the visual and quality standards of Sherwin-Williams products and the store's appearance. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • must be legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship
  • must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license
  • must be able to retrieve materials from shelves and lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally
  • must be willing to work scheduled hours including evenings and weekends
  • if internal candidate, must have received at least a 'meets expectations' rating on most recent performance appraisal
  • if internal candidate, must have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses for current position

Job Qualifications

  • Have at least a high school diploma or GED
  • have at least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
  • previous experience selling paint and paint-related products
  • previous experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
  • ability to read, write, and communicate in more than one language preferred
  • ability to read, write, and communicate in Spanish preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare customers' paint orders quickly and accurately
  • tint and mix products to customer specifications
  • prepare drawdowns for customer submittal
  • clean, fill, and repair tinting equipment as needed
  • maintain precise work order files and color formulas
  • pull appropriate products from sales floor or warehouse
  • stock shelves and set up displays
  • clean store equipment
  • load and unload delivery trucks
  • assist with deliveries as needed
  • assist customers in person and via phone by determining needs and recommending products
  • process sales transactions accurately in accordance with policies
  • maintain in-stock and presentable condition in assigned areas
  • stay knowledgeable on products and discuss available options with customers
  • comply with inventory control procedures
  • suggest ways to increase sales
