This Full-Time Color Mixer Specialist position at Sherwin-Williams Store #1008, located at 5851 Reidville Rd., Moore, SC 29369, plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional customer experience. The Color Mixer Specialist is responsible for tinting and mixing paint to precise customer specifications using the latest equipment. In addition, this role involves direct customer engagement, including assisting wholesale and retail customers to understand the right paint products and solutions for their projects. Staying informed about Sherwin-Williams products and features is essential to provide expert advice and maintain product quality and store presentation. The position requires a proactive approach to meeting and exceeding store sales targets while adhering to the company’s high service standards.

The Color Mixer Specialist should be comfortable working with various materials, handling physical tasks like lifting up to 70 pounds occasionally, and managing inventory effectively. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
  • must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion
  • must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • Have at least a high school diploma or GED
  • have at least one year of experience working in delivery, retail, or customer service
  • have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
  • have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
  • ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
  • ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish

Job Duties

  • Prepare customers' paint orders quickly and accurately
  • tint and mix products to customer specifications
  • prepare drawdowns for submittal to customers
  • clean, fill, and repair equipment as needed
  • maintain precise work order files and formulas
  • pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse
  • stock shelves and set up displays
  • clean store equipment
  • load and unload delivery trucks
  • assist in making deliveries as needed
  • assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
  • process sales transactions accurately and consistent with policies and procedures
  • maintain in-stock and presentable condition in assigned areas
  • remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
  • comply with inventory control procedures
  • suggest ways to improve sales
