The Color & Curl Concierge / Colour & Curl Specialist at Sally Beauty is a pivotal role focused on maximizing the color and curl business by delivering expert advice, superior customer service, and driving sales. This specialist serves as a key industry steward, demonstrating mastery in hair color, curls, and texture. Their role encompasses talent development, technical education, social media engagement, and business acumen. The CCC/CCS uses market analysis to drive product sales, introduce new concepts, and provide ongoing education for both customers and colleagues, virtually and in person. This role is vital to building meaningful, lasting relationships with professional beauty salons, barbers, spas, cosmetologists, and schools. Extensive training and certification courses are provided, supporting the specialist’s development and expertise.
Primary responsibilities include consulting on color and curl services, resolving customer inquiries effectively, maintaining high merchandising and store presentation standards, and staying current with emerging trends and competitive market dynamics. The role requires excellent communication across various departments and partners to ensure a seamless customer experience and sales execution.

Job Requirements
- One year retail or other sales-focused experience
- Licensed cosmetologist highly preferred in US and Canada
- Reliable transportation to effectively service designated store and market
- Ability to travel to shows and/or sales meetings a minimum of 3 times a year
- Strong business acumen and ability to read, interpret, and action on pertinent sales reporting
- Working knowledge of retail sales, inventory control systems and visual merchandising is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS applications
- Comprehensive knowledge of computers, ipads, mobile devices and social media platforms
- Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
- May be required to work in other stores and in field at times
- Strong time management and organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with the public
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, at all levels within and outside the organization
- Must pass Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire to remain in position
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Determine customer color and care related needs and offer professional advice and recommendations
- Communicate upward and cross functionally regarding calls, visits, orders, status of sales progress, follow-up plans and any assistance needed with customers, associates, and vendors
- Responsible for ensuring customer concerns and questions are resolved in a timely, appropriate, and effective manner
- Maintain a high standard of color and curl merchandising, placement, store signage, and proper display techniques to ensure the brand guidelines of an inviting atmosphere for customers
- Stay informed regarding emerging trends, remain agile in response to market changes, and build industry knowledge to share with business partners, while adapting personal sales techniques in response to the competitive market
- Ensure all store opening and closing procedures are performed correctly with occasional responsibility to make bank deposits and complete cash handling or other monetary transactions
- Demonstrate company culture values and adhere to company code of ethics and behavior
