The Color & Curl Concierge (CCC) / Colour & Curl Specialist (CCS) role at Sally Beauty is a dynamic and influential position focused on driving the color and curl business within the retail environment. This role requires a thorough understanding of color and curl techniques and trends, supported by comprehensive education provided through online guided learning and certification courses. The CCC/CCS serves as a steward to the industry by demonstrating expert knowledge of hair color, texture, and curl while developing technical, social media, business, and selling skills.

As a Color & Curl Concierge, you will be integral in creating increased customer retention and loyalty by building lasting relationships and driving behaviors that enhance brand awareness and expand the hair color market share. Your responsibilities will encompass customer consulting, product education both in person and virtually, and using market analysis to drive sales of approved beauty products. The role is as much about technical expertise as it is about outstanding customer service, requiring you to provide tailored color and curl/texture consulting services to professional beauty salons, barbers, spas, cosmetology schools, and licensed cosmetologists.

The position also includes various retail duties such as merchandising and ensuring the store maintains an inviting atmosphere through proper placement, signage, and displays. You will be expected to stay agile by keeping abreast of emerging trends and responding effectively to market changes. Communicating with internal teams and external vendors, resolving customer concerns promptly, and adhering to company culture values are key aspects of this role. Additionally, the CCC/CCS may occasionally handle cash transactions and bank deposits while following all store opening and closing procedures.

Candidates for this role should have at least one year of retail or sales-focused experience, with a highly preferred qualification of being a licensed cosmetologist in the U.S. or Canada. This position requires reliable transportation and the ability to travel to events such as trade shows or sales meetings several times a year. Strong business acumen, time management, social media proficiency, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced retail environment.
