The Food Production Cook role at H-E-B is an exciting position within the restaurant and food service division, ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts and delivering top-notch fast, fresh, and friendly customer service. This role is typically full-time or part-time, based on the team’s needs, and involves working within a fast-paced restaurant environment where quality and speed are equally emphasized. The role requires a firm understanding of safe food handling and the ability to maintain clean, orderly workstations that comply with H-E-B’s rigorous standards. Food Production Cooks must be adept at balancing the demands of high volume production with attention to detail, ensuring that each food item meets quality requirements.
Additionally, this position involves a strong element of customer service, providing assistance to guests and internal customers alike. Candidates should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, remain flexible with their availability to accommodate rotating shifts which often include evenings, weekends, and holidays, and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with team members and management.
