Texell Credit Union is a respected financial institution renowned for its commitment to employee satisfaction and community service. Having earned accolades such as recognition from "American Banker" as one of the best credit unions to work for in the nation and being celebrated by The Credit Union Journal, Texell represents an employer that values its workforce as a key driver of its success. As a credit union, Texell prioritizes the financial well-being of its members, providing a range of services from savings and loans to financial education. With a strong culture built on teamwork, integrity, and innovation, Texell is dedicated to creating an environment where employees can grow professionally and contribute meaningfully to the company's objectives.
The Collections Representative role at Texell Credit Union is a pivotal position focused on preserving the credit union’s assets through effective debt collection practices. This full-time, in-office opportunity offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, vacation, and sick leave. The position is ideal for driven individuals who possess pertinent collections experience and are goal-oriented problem solvers. The role demands not just strong analytical and negotiation skills but also flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of the credit union’s collections team, the representative will handle delinquent accounts across various stages, including early-stage collections, late payments, and repossessions. The job will also involve making proactive outbound calls on unsecured loans and credit card portfolios to identify payment issues and first payment defaults.
Besides actively engaging with members to collect payments, the Collections Representative will assist staff with processing repossessed collateral and must maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, and the ability to work across multiple systems simultaneously, are essential to succeed in this role. Flexible hours during weekdays are required, with occasional Saturday shifts. Texell emphasizes career growth, so employees who demonstrate dedication and performance can expect opportunities for advancement within a supportive and challenging workplace. This position is best suited for those who thrive under pressure, enjoy working collaboratively, and are committed to upholding the high standards set by Texell Credit Union.
