Job Description

FIVE18 Family Services is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to creating communities of faithful relationships to ensure the safety of children and the restoration of families. Centered on Christ-centered compassion, evidence-based impact, and team-driven excellence, FIVE18 Family Services collaborates deeply within local communities to provide support and resources for vulnerable children and families. Its approach is unique in combining faith with community resources to foster lasting partnerships that address fundamental social challenges. The organization works alongside churches, ministry leaders, nonprofit agencies, and community stakeholders to build a robust network that offers timely and impactful support to children and families in need. The mission is manifested through innovative programs and community collaborations that empower volunteers and partners to deliver meaningful assistance where it matters most.

The Collaboration Coordinator position at FIVE18 Family Services plays an essential role within the Community Collaboration Team. This part-time role, requiring approximately 15 hours per week with a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends, is pivotal in advancing the organization’s mission through community engagement and partnership development. The Collaboration Coordinator’s work is rooted in fostering collaborative environments where churches, nonprofits, businesses, and government agencies come together to address the needs of vulnerable children and families across the service region.

The primary responsibilities include promoting and growing the use of CarePortal, a community collaboration platform aimed at connecting church and community resources with families in need. The coordinator acts as a relationship builder, ambassador, and trainer, cultivating partnerships, recruiting new churches and organizations, and ensuring that every collaborative effort is aligned with FIVE18’s core values. In addition to facilitating monthly community meetings known as The Gathering, the role requires shepherding partnerships with Vision30 Partners, a collective initiative dedicated to community-based child welfare. The Collaboration Coordinator also manages aspects of the CarePortal implementation system, further enhancing the effectiveness of community responses.

With approximately 60% travel mostly local, the role demands strong interpersonal and organizational skills to coordinate activities across multiple community stakeholders. The Collaboration Coordinator participates actively in strategic planning alongside the Community Collaboration Team and attends key organizational meetings such as quarterly All Staff and monthly Town Halls. This role requires a highly relational, self-motivated individual with excellent communication and public speaking abilities, adept at storytelling and capable of mobilizing volunteers and church leaders to respond compassionately and effectively to the needs of children and families.

The hourly wage for this part-time position ranges from $15.00 to $21.00 per hour, reflecting the combination of community engagement, leadership, and administrative tasks. The flexible scheduling and part-time status make it an attractive opportunity for individuals passionate about faith-based service and community collaboration who seek a meaningful way to contribute their skills and time. Overall, the Collaboration Coordinator is a key connector within FIVE18 Family Services’ community ecosystem, helping to build stronger, healthier environments for vulnerable populations through coordinated, faith-driven community action.
