The role of a Cold Station Cook at The Capital Grille is essential within the kitchen brigade. This position focuses on the preparation, cooking, and assembly of all cold food items, salads, cold appetizers, as well as hot and cold desserts offered by the restaurant. The Cold Station Cook is responsible for ensuring that all items leaving the cold station meet the rigorous standards of quality and presentation expected by The Capital Grille. Additionally, the cook manages the stocking of the alley and line with the necessary ingredients and items to complete orders punctually while strictly upholding food safety and sanitation standards. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation or culinary arts preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar cold station cook or culinary position
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Culinary school training or certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook and assemble all cold food items, salads, cold appetizers, and hot and cold desserts
