The role of Cold Station Cook at The Capital Grille is an integral position within the kitchen team. This position focuses on the preparation, cooking, and assembly of all cold food items, including salads, cold appetizers, and various desserts offered by the restaurant. In addition to handling cold dishes, the Cold Station Cook may also be responsible for prepping and preparing other food items to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. The cook must maintain excellent organization by stocking the alley and line with the necessary ingredients and supplies to complete orders accurately and on time. A key responsibility is upholding stringent food safety and sanitation standards to guarantee the safety and well-being of guests and team members.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation preferred
  • Ability to follow food safety guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook and assemble all cold food items including salads, cold appetizers and desserts
  • Prep and prepare all food items offered in the restaurant
  • Stock the alley and line with necessary items to complete orders on time
  • Ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards are upheld
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
  • Support team member wellness and restaurant safety practices
