The Server role at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village's Coin & Candor, a California Brasserie, is a vital part of the guest service team. This full-time position, with an hourly rate of $16.90, focuses on delivering memorable dining experiences by anticipating guest needs and providing personalized and genuine hospitality. A Server's responsibilities are multifaceted, including presenting food and beverage menu items with vivid descriptions, taking and coordinating orders accurately, and ensuring timely service that maintains food quality and guest satisfaction. Additionally, the Server is responsible for closing guest checks accurately and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.

Ideal candidates for this role are expected to possess a robust knowledge of food and wine, an outgoing personality, and a proactive approach to their work. Previous experience in a luxury food and beverage environment is required, alongside excellent command of English, both written and spoken.   • Two years previous experience in a luxury food and beverage outlet
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • An outgoing personality and a can-do approach to an assigned task
  • High level of understanding and knowledge of food and wine
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • The ability to carry and balance a tray with multiple items
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States

Job Duties

  • Describe the selection of food and beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item's, origin, taste, and preparation methods
  • Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system
  • Coordinate food timings
  • Check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order
  • Transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
  • Greet guests in a professional manner, serve beverage and food items while explaining the contents
  • Anticipate and service the guest’s needs before requests are necessary, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
  • Properly and accurately close guest checks
  • Process cash and credit card payments
  • Properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations
