The role available at Sweetwaters is a full-time position located at one of their company-owned cafes in Ann Arbor. The position is managerial in nature, responsible for overseeing all operations of the cafe, including sales growth, profitability, and team development. The ideal candidate will lead a team of at least 15 employees, ranging in age from 17 and older, and must be adept at managing a steady volume of guests and a dynamic, diverse staff. The role demands someone who is passionate about delivering seriously great drinks, foods, and service, with a strong focus on maintaining quality standards and ensuring superior guest experiences. The manager will also be tasked with handling the financial aspects of the cafe such as managing profit and loss statements, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and ordering. Beyond operational excellence, the manager must foster a cohesive, fun, and goal-oriented team environment, actively participating in marketing initiatives, facilitating team-building activities, and maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the cafe in line with the brand’s high standards. Required skills include strong communication, organizational abilities, leadership, coaching, and an ability to work under pressure while multitasking. Job Duties

  • Actively build sales, profitability, and guest counts
  • execute on delivering excellent product execution, guest service, and team management
  • maintain and implement quality standards in all products, operations, and guest service
  • manage and develop a dream team by hiring, training, and coaching at least 15 team members ages 17 and older
  • actively participate in marketing for the cafe
  • manage profit and loss statements, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and ordering
  • foster teamwork, continually initiate team-building opportunities, and provide a positive, goal-oriented work environment
  • maintain the aesthetics of the cafe to brand standards and ensure the team delivers a premium experience to guests
  • adhere to all health department, OSHA, and ADA regulations
