- Lancaster County Food Handler Permit by the first day of employment
- ability to lift and carry up to fifty pounds
- willingness to work varied days, hours, shifts, locations, and campuses
- ability to maintain a clean and organized facility
- ability to support a culture of belonging
- ability to communicate effectively
- ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- experience working in a coffee shop or restaurant
- knowledge of quantity and quality food preparation
- knowledge of ingredient functions and recipe conversion
- knowledge of food cost control
- knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
- ability to practice safe and sanitary food and equipment handling techniques
- ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and on the phone
- ability to use basic computer skills
- ability to lift and carry up to fifty pounds

Job Duties
- Assist the managers and chef in coffee shop service operations and educational program courses
- maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary facility
- keep all equipment clean and well-maintained
- wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and food service equipment
- ensure the coffee shop is properly set up for service
- support and maintain the standards of the Culinary/Hospitality program and Great Plains Culinary Institute
- assist in performing co-workers' duties in their absence
