As a Coffee Shop Barista at Hy-Vee, you will be responsible for ensuring customers receive prompt, friendly, and efficient service. Your role will include reviewing and filling customer orders for the day, preparing coffee and other beverages, handling food safely, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in your work area. A key part of the position is creating a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with customers, learning their names, and treating them with care and patience. Job Requirements

  • Less than high school education or equivalent
  • Six months or less of related work experience
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Ability to perform medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Visual acuity including color vision and depth perception
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to follow hygiene and dress code standards
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug screen

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
