We are currently looking for a Lead Coffee Shop Associate to join our team and take charge during shifts. This leadership role is perfect for someone who is passionate about coffee and dedicated to delivering an outstanding guest experience. As the lead on the floor, you will set the pace, maintain high standards, and create a positive and energetic atmosphere during every shift. This role is not behind a desk but involves hands-on engagement, coaching, and leading the team in real time to ensure smooth operations.

As a Lead Coffee Shop Associate, your responsibilities will include leading shifts by acting as the point person during your assigned times, supporting daily service flow and staffing needs, and coaching team members on drinks, speed, and service standards. You will also play an active role in onboarding and training new associates, helping them acclimate and perform confidently. Your expertise in coffee preparation—from espresso-based drinks to brewed coffee and specialty beverages—will contribute significantly to the consistency and quality we promise our guests.

In addition to beverage preparation, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment cleanliness and calibration to ensure optimum performance. Your role extends beyond making coffee; you own the guest experience by providing warm, genuine customer service and building rapport with regulars. You will also handle guest concerns professionally and work to resolve any disruptions with calm and efficiency.

Operational tasks are a key part of this role—opening and closing the shop as scheduled, handling POS transactions and cash responsibly, and maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards. You will monitor inventory levels, minimize waste, and communicate needs or issues to management promptly.

This position is ideal for an individual with 0-1 years of coffee shop or barista experience, some prior shift lead experience or strong leadership skills on the floor, and a deep understanding of espresso and café workflows. The role requires a reliable, detail-oriented, and calm person who thrives under pressure and embraces a team-first mindset with a positive attitude.
