We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Coffee Bar Manager in Training to join our team. This position is integral to maintaining the smooth operation of our Coffee Bars by supervising and coaching associates, ensuring adherence to performance standards, and participating actively in daily Coffee Bar activities. The role provides an excellent opportunity for career growth within the company as the successful candidate will develop leadership skills under the guidance of experienced managers and trainers. The Coffee Bar Manager in Training will be responsible for upholding our signature customer service by promptly addressing customer needs and training team members to follow established protocols. This position requires the ability to work in temperature-controlled environments, including coolers and freezers, and adapt to exposure to various cleaning chemicals and operational hazards. Candidates must thrive in a fast-moving, sometimes stressful environment and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the capability to manage several tasks simultaneously. This full-time position involves varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the business's operational needs. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, reflecting both the responsibilities and growth potential of this role.

Job Requirements

  • Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with multiple variables as they are presented
  • Must have the ability to do simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording
  • Must be able to understand and follow written, verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies orally or in writing
  • Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of less than 20 inches to less than 20 feet, with color vision and depth perception
  • Must be able to read the descriptions on the boxes and shelf tags to order product and place merchandise in the proper locations
  • Must be able to work shifts varying in length and times, including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in customer service or retail
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with multiple variables
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, counting, and recording
  • Ability to understand and follow written, verbal, or demonstrated instructions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Visual acuity including color vision and depth perception

Job Duties

  • Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service
  • Train, coach, supervise, and evaluate Coffee Bar associates
  • Maintain performance standards
  • Supervise and participate in all Coffee Bar activities
  • Handle exposure to cooler and freezer products
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ensure safety when using sharp knives and cleaning chemicals
