The position at Sandia Resort & Casino involves supporting the assigned venue by delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean, comfortable atmosphere. Under general supervision, employees engage with guests to create memorable experiences through prompt response and attention to customer needs. This role emphasizes teamwork and communication, including participating in daily meetings and adhering to operational standards, especially regarding cash handling and sanitation. Employees are expected to uphold high standards of personal hygiene and operational compliance to ensure the safety and satisfaction of every guest.

This role requires the ability to handle retail purchases, prepare specialized beverages, monitor product and equipment needs, and maintain an organized dining area. Employees must be punctual and demonstrate regular attendance according to the set schedules. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must successfully complete a New Mexico Food Handlers Course upon hire
  • Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation
  • Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent preferred
  • Prior cash handling and customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to deal effectively and professionally with the public using excellent customer service skills
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to make accurate transactions
  • Maintains the highest standard of personal hygiene
  • Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors

Job Duties

  • Maintains a focus on delivering "Far from Ordinary" service to all guests
  • Assists customers with retail purchases and preparation of specialized beverages
  • Communicates information to the restaurant manager about products and equipment needs in a timely manner
  • Participates in daily stand-up meetings to ensure proper communication is understood
  • Completes computer assisted training in a timely manner
  • Maintains cleanliness, safety, and standards using sanitary tools when handling food items
  • Follows operational policies and procedures for cash handling to ensure accurate tendering
  • Maintains a clean and organized dining area free of debris
  • Builds relationships with guests based on respect while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor
  • Performs additional duties as requested
