This job opportunity is an entry-level position offering advancement potential within the grocery retail industry. Candidates will be compensated starting at or above local minimum wage, depending on experience, qualifications, and contract terms. The role involves a supervisory position within the Grocery department, encompassing Dairy and Frozen sections. The successful candidate will provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service while coaching, training, supervising, and evaluating grocery associates to maintain high performance standards. Responsibilities include supervising all activities in the grocery areas and overseeing store operations in the absence of the Store Director or Assistant Store Director. There is notable accountability for enforcing Government and Company regulations related to retail and food safety.

Working conditions require the ability to handle refrigerated and frozen products, with exposure to coolers at approximately 28 degrees Fahrenheit and freezers at around -20 degrees Fahrenheit. The work environment is fast-paced and may involve exposure to dust, cleaning chemicals, sharp equipment, and movement hazards. Candidates must be capable of managing multiple priorities and handling stressful situations effectively.

Key competencies for this role include problem-solving, basic arithmetic skills such as addition and subtraction, clear communication abilities both verbal and written, and visual acuity including color vision and depth perception. The role demands flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The position plays a key part in ensuring excellent customer service and operational efficiency in a dynamic retail environment.
