Job Requirements
- Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with multiple variables as they are presented
- Must have the ability to do simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording
- Must be able to understand and follow written, verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies orally or in writing
- Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of less than 20 inches to less than 20 feet, with color vision and depth perception
- Must be able to read the descriptions on the boxes and shelf tags to order product and place merchandise in the proper locations
- Must be able to work shifts varying in length and times, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work in cold environments, handling products in coolers and freezers
- Must be able to use and handle sharp knives safely
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior supervisory experience in retail or grocery
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic math skills including addition and subtraction
- Experience working with inventory and product placement
- Skilled in problem-solving and multitasking
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service
- Train, coach, supervise, and evaluate grocery associates
- Maintain performance standards in grocery, dairy, and frozen departments
- Supervise store activities in the absence of Store Director or Assistant Store Director
- Monitor and enforce all government and company regulations
- Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure proper placement and ordering of products
